ICMPv6用来报告处理包过程中的错误，执行其它internet-layer function，例如ping。

type域表示消息的类型，code域由type域决定，checksum是数据加上IPv6头的检验值。
ICMPv6消息分为两类：error messages和informational messages，前者类型的最高位为0，后者最高位为1。

当router收到一个hop limit为0的包时，它产生一个ICMP报文。
当收到一个错误的包的时，回复此类型的ICMP消息，里面有一个pointer字段，指向错误的地方。
